Giftii Foods and Packaging PLC was established in 1971 by Kalsec International of Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA. The plant was designed primarily to extract oleoresin paprika from red peppers grown in the southern part of Ethiopia. In 2008, it was privatized and renamed as Giftii Foods and Packaging PLC.
